WHAT IS YOUR GOAL? - Bible Meditation
“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple” (Psa 27:4). David desired one thing, and he desired it with all his heart; his one desire was to behold the Lord. God’s desire is that we too be single-minded in our seeking after Him. If we allow ourselves to be distracted by anything, we shall never succeed in this, our most important spiritual quest. Paul was also single-minded: “This ONE THING I do,” he said, “forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil 3:13,14).
